Dh and I have eaten here before. I guess it depends on what you order. Today I had the crab melt and dh had the patty melt. Each came with soup and fries and slaw and a big pickle. The melts we both very good I had two crab cakes each on a half of English muffin which was then broiled with a tomato slice and cheese on top. Very tasty with pretty much crab in the cakes. Dh patty melt was also very good with a very large handmade beef patty mushrooms onions and cheese on grilled rye. He had the chicken rice soup I had the clam chowder. It was a red broth clam chowder spicy broth with vegetables and clam bits. These were both tasty. The slaw was homemade and flavored nicely. The fries while abundant and crisp and hot were the coated fries. I favor plain FFs. As if this wasn't enough we shared a huge bowl of homemade rice pudding. Without grapes (raisins). This was delicious. The server could have been more attentive, and spilled water and slopped the soup. But she was friendly. All this with an ice tea for me was 18 and change.

We were looking for a place for pizza and found this hidden gem on Yelp. Great food, friendly and fast service. Our server Misty was excellent. The pizza and wings were delicious. We will definitely stop by next time we are on this side of town! Happy 4th!

First off I will say that is in very poor taste for the other reviewers to bad mouth the area and its residents. The Eastern Shore is rural yes, but the people here are hard working honest people and choose to live here for its quiet lifestyle . Having moved here 5 years ago and having traveled the world and eaten at well over a dozen countries, I have paid More and gotten much less. If you want to pay for some pretty artsy ,expensive, big city froo froo food this is not the place. If you want a decent meal and a great price, then this is your place. As for the people who berate the area along with the food, you can pass right by Our Place , and get your $ 10 vegan burger further north!!!!!!!

One of the best places to eat on the Eastern Shore Just off Rt13 in Pokemoke M.D.. They have a full menu *Plus a board full of Specials. The Country Fried Steak is one of the best I have ever had. A family of four can go for dinner for under $40.00. & go home with leftovers.

For Pocomoke City, this might be the best you can find. Most of the food is processed/bulk food, though. Some stuff is homemade, like the potato salad and cole slaw - those were great. Prices are cheap, portions are fairly generous (not overwhelming, though), but all I can say about quality is that it's a step up from fast food.

Best subs in town. Well probably but that still doesn't make them "great". Friendly, as long as your a local. Slim pickings for what passes as a deli

Very rude, inexperienced waitress on our visit. The food was NOT great and anyone raving about it must not leave Pocomoke very often.

If you are looking for fancy this is not it. But if you are looking for good food, friendly service and a great atmosphere. This place is for you. Seems like all the locals hang here and since we are new locals to the area we have been going here almost once a week. The food is very good for diner food. We have enjoyed it. I guess the only complaint I would have is that the Mac and Cheese was a little bland and the noodles were soft, from probably being on heat all day. I think if they baked it, it would be better. Definitely a kids mac and cheese. That being said - my favorite so far was the Crab cakes - awesome!!!!

I temper this review, because Pocomoke City would remind you of something straight out of 'Children of the Corn' or 'Deliverance'. The place is always crowded. The locals seem to love it... I have had a couple of decent lunches there: Open faced turkey sandwich, roast beef and meatloaf. Not bad. Portions big, price fair and reasonable. I had some spaghetti there and that was the last time I ever went back. It was a huge pile of overcooked noodles with a very thin tomato sauce. Like worse than dorm-food or middle school cafeteria grade. The meat (or what they liked to call meat) was tiny crumb-sized bits of 'hamburger'. I would have done better with Chef Boyardee or a Banquet Frozen Dinner. You know it is bad when superpigray don't finish his meal! It was so funny, because the owner/chef was walking around table to table that day, asking people how their food was. I just buried my face down, hoping he would not stop by, because I was going to hurt his feelings. The waitress seemed disappointed when she asked me if I wanted a 'doggie bag' and I said 'no thank you'. Food is bland, service ok, portions big. I've experienced much better, but then again how good can you expect bad diner food in a small town to be???

3.5 Located in an old strip in Pocomoke City is this little family restaurant. We were on our way back from a little vacation and drove right past this place. We noticed how packed it was and decided to turn around and go back. It looked like a little spot where the locals hang out. When you first walk in you are greeted by the friendly staff. The insides is actually pretty old and really could use some updating. Then again, hey, if it works, why fix it. It gives it a real homey feeling. The place was packed and it was about 12:30 or so. The menu features a lot of basic foods you find at a local diner. Burgers, spaghetti, pizza, cheese steaks, and so on. Well I ordered the bacon cheese steak, my wife ordered the spaghetti and meat sauce, and we got my 2 year old daughter ate off our plates. With our meals we got a choice between a soup or salad. I think my meal was 7 bucks and my wife was about the same. The prices were really good. Even though the restaurant was packed, we still got our food in a reasonable amount of time. The chicken elbow soup came out, while the noodles were soggy, the soup itself didn't taste too bad. There where big chunks of shredded chicken inside. Our main dishes came out. My cheese steak actually had a lot of meat steak as well as bacon. While it was a little on the dry side, it still had good flavor with the nicely grilled veggies that were added to it. My wife's spaghetti looked homemade, and she said it tasted pretty good. In fact better than some of the places we have back at home. Over all the meal was good. The service was great and our waitress was very friendly. She was always there checking up on us. Even through the restaurant was packed it looked like everything was under control. The prices were cheap, friendly people, and it just felt like a nice homey place. As I mentioned above, not the pretties place inside, but I think the warm welcome makes up for it. Not the greatest food, but I think for the over value and service its good. If I lived in this town I'd come back again.
